My name is Jo-Anna. I haven’t been able to read, write, work, record or live productively, for more than a year. The Related Companies who own my apartment,have poisoned us with asbestos, silica & black mold. Then they lied about it in a futile cover up. When some of the apt residents complained to the authorities about the unsafe,unhealthy, unfair & illegal living conditions, Related then fabricated all sorts of phony story, backed by bribed or coerced staff or residents too afraid to say no, to evict the whistleblowers.
We will be forced out on August 31, 2023. Just a day after my 68th birthday, I will find myself with nowhere to go, since rents have skyrocketed all over the country, & many hundreds of thousands of people, especially seniors, have nowhere else to go.
